Nightmare Before Christmas 10/20/13

So Tommy and I had planned for a few weeks now that we would be going to the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood to see the Nightmare Before Christmas in 4D.  Well 30 minutes before we were going to leave my mom and sister decided they were going to join us!  So off the four of us went to Hollywood.

The movie started at 2:30 pm so we left at 11 am to be sure we got there in time.  On our way we of course stopped at the Disney Outlet Store in Camarillo, CA.  We each purchased 3 of the High School Vinylmations and were back on the road to the El Capitan Theatre.

Tommy's thoughts: We use these vinyls for traders in the park.  They're nothing I would buy normally but they're only $2.99 right now and give us a chance to see what's in the mystery boxes.

We finally arrived at 2 pm and made our way over to the theatre and got in line.  We purchased VIP tickets for the balcony.  With these tickets we got a souvenir bucket of popcorn and a bottled drink.  After getting our popcorn and drink we got into line for the Nightmare pins that were left from the previous day.  We purchased all the pins that were left and were one of the last to get the Jumbo 20 Jack pin that was a Surprise Release that day.

Tommy's thoughts: The pins are way better looking in person, albeit far too expensive... Still worth it if you enjoy the movie, and I did!

For anyone who has not seen or even those who have I highly recommend going to this while you can. This was the first time we had seen Nightmare Before Christmas and really enjoyed the 4D version of it.  It is interactive and fun for the whole family.

Tommy's thoughts: The 4D is a little hyped up honestly.  The snow and fog aren't really immersive and are just distracting instead.  But the movie was remastered very well in 3D, something that isn't very easy to do.  No headaches at this one!
